I am a mum with three children who have long since flown the nest and also have a cute four year old granddaughter. I live in the Daventry area and welcome either face to face students, preferably at my home, which is a short walk from the town centre, or online students.
I am a patient tutor who focuses on encouraging confidence and developing study skills.

Tutoring Experience

I am a newly retired teacher who has taught mainly GCSE, iGCSE, AS Pure and Edexcel A level Further Maths Decision 1 at an independent school. I am also an experienced GCSE examiner. I have taught maths for the past seventeen years at secondary level. I taught initially for four years in a state grammar school with the rest of my time spent at two independent schools. My exam results have always been good and I believe in helping students to be the best they can be.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my approach to suit the individual and work to raise confidence and independent learning skills. I can either work to support class studies or to target exam practice and help plan a revision strategy. I
use a variety of resources, ranging from worksheets
and practice papers through to web-based activities
and revision resources.
