I am an enthusiastic and passionate teacher and a native French speaker. I have lived and worked in the UK since I was 22. I love the great outdoors, hiking and swimming are my favourite activities, especially with my lovely dog Maika :)
I have always worked with teens and children and I love my job!
I have a broad experience in teaching and mentoring. I started teaching in Secondary schools (French and Spanish), I led my own language school, then I made a leap into Primary teaching and there, I developed a passion for Outdoor Learning, making it an integral part of the curriculum.
I have also worked with children and adolescents with SEND, more recently with teens who cannot access mainstream education due to SEMH difficulties.
I believe that building positive relationships with all adults surrounding a child is key to their success. Tailoring the curriculum to their interest will help a child feel more confident and build the resilience to have a go, and not be afraid of making mistakes.
I have a kind and nurturing approach, so much of our job is about patiently listening in order to understand a child's individual needs.
