I spend most of my free time exercising (mainly running) or learning, anything from BSL to Astronomy.

Tutoring Experience

I'm a fully qualified teacher with over four years experience teaching in secondary and sixth form state-maintained schools in England. This includes leading on psychology, mentoring trainee teachers and marking for the AQA exam board.

Whilst my experience across the sciences and psychology has been with the AQA exam board, I have some experience with other exam boards through my tutoring work.

Now part-time in school, I spend my other part-time tutoring and writing education resources/content.

I've loved working with young people in a range of contexts. I'm excited by the challenge of providing holistic support to young people whilst sharing my enthusiasm for biology, physics, chemistry and psychology.

Tutoring Approach

Holistic - primarily about building relationships and developing character to ensure the best experience and outcomes for learners.

I aim to understand the specific needs of each learner to ensure a truly tailored approach. Whether that be dedicated exam practice, reviewing feedback from classwork/school assessment or traditional lesson-style sessions.

I include diagnostic questions within the first session or two to fully understand any gaps in knowledge and understanding. This allows me to develop an adaptive curriculum, alongside feedback from the learner and parent on specific goals.
