I am a friendly and approachable tutor offering online tuition.

I teach English both as a subject and as a foreign language. Currently my youngest student is 7 and my eldest is 25. Around half of my clients are preparing for GCSEs or iGCSES but I also support some students that are home-schooled or just looking to make general progress in a subject that they find a little tricky.

As I was Head of Drama for two years, I am also able to offer Drama tuition up to and including GCSE.

Tutoring Experience

I am an examiner for the English GCSEs. I work for the AQA exam board. However, I am also very familiar with teaching the other exam boards. I am currently a full time tutor so can offer a wider range of availability.
Most recently, I have been working at a school for children with special needs.

DATA: Summer 2019, my GCSE results were 5% higher than the national average and I'd be happy to share the data that supports this.
Prior to teacher training, I worked in a variety of roles in schools supporting SEND students. In particular, I worked with students with autism and dyslexia helping them to access the curriculum and make progress. Then, I completed my teacher training at Reading University and was graded "excellent" - the highest possible grade.
I now have over 14 years teaching experience. I completed the majority of my training at The Bulmershe School in a department which was, at that time, graded as "Outstanding" by Ofsted.
Finally, I was a "Gifted and Talented" coordinator and as such I received additional training so that I can carry out specific intervention for "high-attainers" so that they can reach their full potential.
