We can work from your own starting point and develop fun and relevant ways of learning to meet your own needs. I tailor my tutoring on how you wish to learn by teaching in a style that you ask for to create a truly personalised approach. To add value, I use fun and personalised assessment for learning techniques with a focus on your starting points, setting targets and marking work as we progress.
I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher.
My current tutees have all added at least two higher grade boundaries with some improving by 4 boundaries. At first, all have improved at least 2 grades within 3 months from a weekly session. The summer 2024 A level results amounted to A*, A, B, B and a C.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE Manchester University) with 21 years experience at GCSE and A level (14 to 19 year olds) in all Business Related roles, working in the UK and abroad. I have taught all of the main exam boards. In addition, I have experience in financial advice and guidance plus 4 years as a manager of teaching and learning. I have previous roles as a teacher trainer and as a tutor for gifted learners. I also have further experience as a GCSE and A Level examiner. I was also a staff coach and trainer for a full range of courses offered in the post 16 sector. I gained Employer of the Year in 2010 and in 2011 a Career Academy Honorary Alumni for outstanding contribution to Financial Service links between employers and young professionals.

Tutoring Approach

I set targets and work with tutees on how and what they wish to learn. My sessions should be fun and improve learning and motivation. We use real world examples that are relevant to the tutee. All sessions included weekly feedback to meet exam standards. I have regularly taught all awarding bodies.
I can add at least two higher grade boundaries to present results and help with careers and future plans.

There is discount for the first session plus further discounts for single parents in receipt of tax credits.

Sessions are taught with the option of face face or online. Many learners enjoy a combination of options.
