I am a qualified secondary school teacher, Head of Maths, Vice Principal, and Lead Designated Safeguarding Officer. Alongside my leadership roles in schools, I have been tutoring for over 20 years and continue to find it one of the most rewarding parts of my work—seeing students grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals.
From September 2020, I moved all tuition online to make learning more flexible and accessible.
Benefits of Online Learning with Me
Familiarity
Students can use their own laptops or tablets, making learning feel more natural and comfortable while maintaining good hygiene practices—something that has been especially reassuring during COVID times.
Comfort
Learning from home allows students to create an environment where they feel at ease, which helps them focus and learn more effectively.
Convenience
Online tuition removes the need for travel. A one-hour lesson really does take just one hour—no extra time lost getting to and from a venue.
Security
For more reserved learners, online sessions can feel less intimidating. Students can even choose to keep their camera off until they feel more confident working with me.
Reliability
Unlike paper notes that can be lost or damaged, online lessons can be recorded, saved, and revisited whenever needed—helping to reinforce learning over time.
I bring enthusiasm and creativity to every session, tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs. My goal is always to make learning personal, supportive, and effective.
At the moment, I have very limited availability.

I have experience teaching at all primary levels to support early progress, but my main focus now is on Years 10–11, helping students achieve the best possible outcomes in their GCSEs. I currently work with pupils aged 8 to 22, providing weekly tuition, exam support, and focused booster sessions in maths.

Across every year, progress has been consistently strong. Many students aiming for a grade 3 or 4 went on to secure 4s and 5s, and those starting higher also pushed themselves to achieve beyond their targets.
I provide tailored resources for each session and for exam preparation, along with regular homework to strengthen and consolidate skills.
I always aim to create a relaxed and supportive space where pupils feel comfortable and confident in their learning. Alongside the work we do together, I often recommend books and provide my own materials to use as handy reference points. I bring everything that’s needed for lessons, and when it comes to exams, I make sure pupils have plenty of past papers and preparation resources to build confidence.
I’m also available between sessions—whether by email or phone—if pupils have quick questions or need a little extra support with homework. My priority is helping every student push past their limits, feel proud of their progress, and succeed.
With over 1,400 pre-planned lessons that I’ve trialled and tested, I’ve got lots of extra resources to draw on whenever a pupil needs that little bit more.
I’d encourage you to read through my reviews, as they really highlight the personal and tailored approach I take with every student.
