For most of school, I was in the bottom sets. I couldn’t focus, got distracted easily, and was sent out of class so often I stopped believing I was capable. Maybe that’s how you’re feeling too.
One afternoon near the end of Year 10, I walked into my Chemistry teacher’s classroom and asked if I could take Triple Science. He told me later he got a good laugh out of it in the teacher's staff room once I'd left. My teachers expected me to fail.
But I was ready to change. So I did.
I worked harder than anyone else. I wasn't naturally clever, but I commited myself and figured things out along the way. I taught myself how to revise (effectively), how to stay focused, and how to build discipline from scratch. By the end of Year 11, I had one of the top Maths grades in the school. At A-level, I earned A*s in Further Maths, Maths, and Chemistry, and an A in Physics. I received offers from both Durham and Imperial.
Now I help students do what I did. But with a shortcut.
Over the last four years, I’ve tutored students at both GCSE and A-level, privately and I've influenced some incredible transformations. I work with students who are struggling to stay motivated, students who feel behind, and even those students chasing top grades.
If you’re serious about improving, I’d love to help.
I only take on one or two students at a time so I can give you 100% of my energy and support. This isn’t about handing you answers. It’s about helping you build the confidence, mindset, and independence to take learning into your own hands.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to start.
I have five years of tutoring experience, working with students from GCSE to A-levels in both in-person and online settings. Additionally, I spent six months as a tutor with SEM Tuition, gaining valuable experience through the agency.
I’m not here to give you answers. I’m here to teach you how to think.
The truth is, you need to struggle to learn. Simply giving students answers robs them of the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that truly make a difference. That’s why I guide them through problems, offering hints rather than solutions, and only stepping in once they’ve put in the effort. This process builds confidence, independence, and a structured approach to tackling challenges, skills that go far beyond exams. My goal is to develop independent thinkers who no longer need me. I don’t just teach students how to solve problems; I teach them how to think so they can approach any challenge with logic, persistence, and confidence.
Every student learns differently, so I adapt to your style. Some students need help focusing. Others need structure or just a bit more belief in themselves. Whatever the challenge is, we work through it together.
Lessons are active and focused. I cap them at 90 minutes because focus tends to drop after that. We include short five-minute breaks every 30 minutes to recharge and reset. This helps you stay sharp, retain more, and enjoy the process.
I only work with one or two students at a time. That means I can fully commit to your progress, prepare personalised resources, and support you between sessions. I charge more than most tutors, but that’s because I put in more time, energy, and care.
