I am mother of a 13 year old, I have also been working with children ranging from 0-18 for over 15 years. I have recently embarked on re-training trying to bridge a gap with children's understanding of literacy. I am well versed in all things phonics and how to break things down. I currently work in a mainstream high school in the special needs and behavior department, running my own intervention sessions with SEN and EAL students ranging from phonics to revision skills tricks and tips.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is very casual i like to take the interests of the child into account. Focusing sessions around themes and ideas they enjoy in order to keep thier minds engaged. I am also quite firm when it is time to focus and knuckle down setting clear boundaries of when needed. I myself am a visual learner and I educate in the same way. As long as a child is trying thier best I am proud of them.
