John was the perfect tutor, helping my son to reengage with English after he lost some confidence based on feedback from his school teachers. My son managed to improve his GCSE grade from 6s at the begginng of the year to 7s in his mock exams to 9s in the final exam. To say we are over the moon is an understatement. We’ve only been working with John for a couple of weeks, but already his insight and history knowledge and expertise is really helping wit our daughter with A-level history. He is providing her helpful and in-depth feedback and structures her lessons precisely to her needs. Lesson times are planned and run like clockwork and we are so pleased that we chose to work with John as our daughter has already turned a corner in the areas where she felt she needed support and titoring.

Excellent tutoring in preparation for the History Aptitude Test (HAT).
Not only was he able to quickly adapt his approach to my daughter's needs and recommend useful resources, but his expertise as a Professor in Medieval History helped her gain a better approach to analysing and writing about unseen texts.
