I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England. I currently teach and prepare students for GCSE, A-level, and AS Mathematics, helping them build confidence and achieve outstanding results.
My academic background includes both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from reputable institutions, giving me a strong analytical foundation and a deep appreciation for the practical applications of mathematics.
My teaching philosophy centres on demystifying complex mathematical concepts and breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. I work to minimise the abstract nature of Maths, making lessons more engaging, accessible, and tailored to individual learning styles. This approach has consistently helped students overcome challenges, build confidence, and significantly improve their performance.
Whether you're aiming for top grades or looking to strengthen your understanding, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
I bring over 10 years of dedicated experience teaching Mathematics, with a strong track record of successfully preparing students for both GCSE and A-level examinations. I have worked extensively with students across various exam boards, including Edexcel, OCR, and AQA, ensuring they are fully equipped to tackle both Foundation and Higher Tier GCSE papers.
My approach is tailored to each student’s needs, helping them build a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and gain the confidence required to excel in their exams. Many of my students have gone on to achieve excellent results, often surpassing their target grades.
I am fully aware that students often carry a range of misconceptions and varying levels of prior knowledge. To address this, I use retrieval activities to gather accurate data on each student’s current understanding. Based on this insight, I tailor my lessons to meet them where they are—while stretching and challenging them to ensure consistent progress.
I follow the "I Do / We Do / You Do" instructional model, which allows me to model concepts clearly, guide students through collaborative practice, and then gradually release responsibility to them. Through effective questioning and regular checks for understanding, I ensure that key concepts are grasped securely.
Once students demonstrate a solid grasp of the material, I introduce carefully structured practice tasks. This shared load of practice helps consolidate their learning and transfer knowledge into long-term memory.
