I am a UK qualified teacher, and I have over 12 years of experience teaching Spanish and French to advanced level, German to GCSE, English as a Foreign Language and Maths and English at Key Stage 2 in the UK and abroad in both primary and secondary schools and private tutoring. I have lived in France and Spain, and in addition to my extensive teaching experience, I have also worked in international business environments, so I have knowledge of the languages in the “real” world. I have a criminal records check for your peace of mind.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught students from the age of 3 to 75 in the UK and in Spain. I have taught in primary and secondary British schools, in a private school in Spain and online private tutoring. I have extensive experience working with GCSE and A-Level students of French and Spanish, GCSE students of German and Key Stage 2 Maths and English, helping some to achieve the highest grade and others to build their confidence enough to achieve a pass when they were struggling. I am very familiar with the exam boards and curriculum for Key Stage 3-5 Languages as well as Key Stage 2 Maths and English. I also have experience with adult learners working towards French DELF exams or Spanish DELE exams, as well as those learning for conversational, business or leisure purposes. I provide all resources.

Tutoring Approach

I offer a wide range of resources for all ages and levels. I like to get to know my students and adapt the learning style and content of the lessons to their needs and interests. I offer friendly, fun and well-structured lessons and can set homework if they wish and provide weekly feedback. I incorporate a variety of skills and resources to keep lessons well-paced, engaging and relevant. I always chat with new students beforehand to find out what they would like to focus on and plan around their needs. I am positive and encouraging with my feedback and corrections, and I like my students to feel a sense of achievement and capability and build confidence.

- I tutor Sunday-Thursday from 5pm.
- Lessons are to be paid on a weekly basis (on the day of the class or before) via bank transfer.
- Any lesson cancelled with less than 12 hours’ notice before will require payment.
