I'm energetic and like to constantly challenge myself. I enjoy fitness such as yoga, crossfit and running. I live in rural Hampshire where I work from a converted shepherds hut.

Tutoring Experience

I have a PhD in English from the University of Southampton where I have also been a seminar leader. I have worked as a speech writer, as well as a copywriter for various industries.

Tutoring Approach

I am a flexible teacher, who takes the time to think about the different learning styles of individual students. I believe in utilising as many different resources and methods as possible such as online presentation tools like prezi (here are some previous presentations: https://prezi.com/user/o9ooeum5vspk/), video links and debates. I like to balance the wider cultural concerns of a text with close readings which focus on how language used can create patterns and meanings.
