I’m a full-time tutor with a Philosophy and Theology degree from Durham University and extensive experience teaching Keystage 2, 3, GCSE and A Level curriculums.
My lessons are relaxed but focused, and tailored to each student’s specific needs. I build confidence through tried and tested methods, increasing student understanding and engaging curiosity in a fun but effective way.
I have a strong track record of getting students into the most academic Grammar and Public schools in the South East, with many of them coming to me via recommendation.

I have over 5+ years experience of tutoring, both in London and the South East. For the past 3 years I have been working with an accomplished tutoring agency, teaching a vast range of ages and abilities: From 7 year olds with learning difficulties, to undergraduate university students.
I am experienced in teaching: 7+, 8+, 11+ Entry Exams, ISEB Common Pre-test, GCSE's, A Levels, and the CIE Pre-U specifications. I also offer tuition for specific school entrance exams, (e.g. Eton List Test).
I have successfully got children into the following schools: Eton, Harrow, Winchester, Tonbridge, King's Wimbledon, Westminster Cathedral Choir School, Holmewood House, Yardley Court and Latymer Upper.
My methodology revolves around finding the most appropriate teaching style for each particular student - The huge benefit of private tuition over standard classroom teaching is that a bespoke and personalised learning programme can be devised for your child, which takes explicit account of their individual learning needs. If your child is to achieve their highest potential and truly excel in their academic capabilities, sometimes the blanket-teaching approach of the classroom is simply not enough.
Contrastingly, I can provide a tutoring experience which involves getting to know your child's individual learning needs, and which methods are most suited to them, giving you detailed feedback throughout the while process.
Over the years, it has become very apparent to me that there is no 'one-size-fits-all' when it comes to teaching. For a student to take significant steps forward in their academic ability, the blanket teaching of the classroom is often simply not enough. In my experience, one-on-one tutoring is far more conducive for academic advancement, as it provides a bespoke learning environment, completely personalised for the intellectual needs of that specific student. From the speed of lessons, to the resources used, to the focus on certain parts of the curriculum, all parts of my sessions are tailored to engender deeper understanding and comprehension of the relevant subject, as well as encouraging individual flare and originality in the individual.
