I’m a qualified Maths teacher with over ten years of experience teaching in some of the UK’s leading grammar and independent schools, as well as top international institutions. I hold a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from UCL’s Institute of Education and an MBA in Educational Leadership. My work combines academic excellence, strategic coaching, and a deep understanding of what helps students succeed.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of learners from a range of backgrounds, from students aiming to secure Grade 9s or A*s and places at Oxbridge, to those who need to rebuild their confidence after years of struggling with Maths. I’ve also helped students prepare for school entrance exams, competitive sixth-form applications, and university admissions tests.
My teaching style is calm, clear, and highly tailored. Whether a student needs to improve their fluency, develop exam technique, or stretch beyond the curriculum, I create a structured plan that leads to lasting progress. This is not generic tutoring. Each session is designed with purpose, using evidence-based methods and careful sequencing to ensure meaningful learning and visible results.
I’ve taught across the full secondary age range and worked extensively with students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, and Further Maths. My international experience means I’m also familiar with a range of exam boards and school systems, including Edexcel, AQA, CIE, OCR, and IB.
In addition to my classroom teaching, I’ve led a successful Maths department, contributed to whole-school curriculum design, mentored early-career teachers, and helped develop high-impact assessment systems.
Many of my students have gone on to top UK and US universities, secured scholarships, and moved up to higher sets within months. Just as importantly, I’ve helped students shift their mindset, from “I can’t do this” to “I’ve got this”, through a mix of structure, encouragement, and deep understanding.
Examples of recent student outcomes include:
• A GCSE student who jumped from a Grade 5 to a Grade 8 in three months
• An A-Level student who moved from a low B to a high A* after just one term of targeted support
• A UKiset candidate who earned offers from multiple top-tier British boarding schools
• Multiple university applicants who successfully passed the MAT and TMUA with guidance on problem-solving and mathematical reasoning
This work is grounded in strategy. No session is wasted. Everything is focused on creating momentum, building confidence, and ultimately helping students take ownership of their learning.
► My 5 star feedback is a testament to the effort I put into each lesson. Students make strides of progress very quickly ◄
Each new student begins with an initial conversation and a diagnostic review so I can understand their current level, goals, and preferred learning style. From there, I build a customised plan focused on the most impactful areas.
Lessons are structured but flexible. They often include a mix of conceptual teaching, guided practice, exam-style application, and real-time feedback. I focus not just on what to do, but why it works, so students can apply their understanding in new situations, not just repeat what they’ve memorised.
Alongside this, I coach students on how to revise efficiently, manage exam pressure, and track their own progress. I also offer regular updates to parents who want to stay informed without micro-managing every lesson.
The goal is simple: to help students feel calm, capable, and in control of their learning, whether they’re preparing for final exams or building strong foundations for the future.
This service is for families who are committed to long-term progress and want a tutor who brings both subject expertise and professional-level insight. I only take on a small number of students at a time to ensure every learner receives the consistency and individual attention they deserve.
