Personal Description:
I am a concert pianist and Artistic Director of The Masters Music School in London. A graduate of the Royal College of Music (Master of Performance, Distinction), I combine international competition success and extensive concert experience with a passion for music education. My performances have taken me to leading venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Steinway Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, and St James’s Piccadilly.
Tutoring Experience:
Since 2008, I have gained over 17 years of teaching experience across private tuition, state schools, and independent schools in the UK and abroad. For more than a decade as Artistic Director of The Masters Music School, I have led a thriving community of 250+ students and teachers. My students consistently achieve excellent exam results, win top prizes at regional and national competitions, and gain entry to prestigious conservatoires. While I welcome students of all ages and levels, my teaching is especially suited to dedicated intermediate and advanced pianists.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching philosophy combines uncompromising technical detail with a holistic approach to artistry and performance:
Uncompromising Technical Detail – Micro-precision in hand and body mechanics; sound quality and piano touch prioritised from the very first lesson.
Physics-Based Movement – Practical application of physical principles and energy transformations, building natural, scalable habits with minimal wasted effort.
Psychology of Practice & Performance – Evidence-based methods for focus, deliberate practice, and overcoming performance anxiety, supporting confident exams and concert appearances.
Musical Intelligence – Structured analysis, pattern recognition, and historical context guiding phrasing, harmony, tension–release, and articulation.
I work with motivated learners who are ready to commit to steady progress. Lessons are suited to those who value musical growth above casual distractions and are prepared to attend regularly and practise as directed.
Learners: Children (7+), teens, and adults, from beginner to advanced diploma level.
Formats: Weekly tuition available in-person (London / High Wycombe) and online.
Lesson lengths: 45, 60, or 90 minutes, tailored to stage and goals.
Commitment: Regular attendance and directed practice; progress valued above casual distractions… confident musicians with the technical command and artistic insight to realise their full potential.
