Personal Description:

I am a Chartered Accountant (CA) from Sri Lanaka and currently reading for my master's degree programme in Massey University, New Zealand. My career experience as a CA counts 11 years out of which 8 years have been in Maldives corporate sector engaging in Accounting and Finance management.

Tutoring Experience:

Tutoring is my passion. I have been tutoring the subjects of Accounting, Taxation, Economics and Business Studies, while I was working in Sri Lanka, spanning the spheres of national exams in secondary education and professional exams like CA. Ordinary Level which is equivalent to NCEA level 1 and Advanced Level which is equivalent to NCEA level 3 are significant thereof. All those students have passed the subjects with distinctive passes.

Tutoring Approach:

The key to successful teaching and successful learning is the interaction between the tutor and the student on the subject matter. The more interactive you are with the student; more effective the tutoring will be. I make sure the student does open up on the doubts or unclear areas of the subject. The final intention is that the student is clear on what he or she is supposed to learn and do in the exam. Recap of the previous week's lessons via quiz, practicing past papers and model papers, and giving homework to be in touch with the subject are some of the major tutoring approaches used.
